Our collection is more than just a piece of design: It's a story. Story about Czech glass blowers, story about the heat of the furnaces, the smoke, deep & dark forests, story about artisans and craftsmanship.

It tells the story of an old glassworks from the 18th century and how something that will last for centuries is created. Story of a unique glass colouring technique that was almost lost in the dust of history.

It's the story of lithyalin.

Lithyalin is a type of glass developed in the 19th century by the Czech glassmaker Friedrich Egermann. This glass is characterised by its repetitive, opaque texture and various colours such as red, blue, green and brown. Lithyalin glass is characterised by its gem-like appearance and was mainly used for decorative objects and jewellery. Egermann obtained a patent for this type of glass in 1828.

It is the story about lieb.werk's Marble collection.

No copies.

No patterns.
